Joe Wilkes will present a preview of his third and latest album called “Looking For The Grave of Garcia Lorca”. Joe will be performing after Sudha Bhuchar´s talk at around 8.45pm this Saturday 9th of October.

Sudha Bhuchar, actor, playwright, joint founder and Artistic Director of Tamasha Theatre Company will be our guest speaker after the performance of ‘Don Perlimplin and Belisa in the Garden” at 7.30pm on Saturday 9th October. Sudha will talk to us about her latest production, currently on tour in the UK, The house of Bilquis Bibi an adaptation of Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba and her transposition of this masterpiece to present-day Pakistan.

‘Stop Press’: Goya Award Winning Spanish Actor, Director and Writer Carlos Alvarez-Nóvoa will be our special guest speaker at the Private View and will be reciting his own rendition to Lorca, entitled “Love and Death in Lorca’s Plays” – Not to be missed!

SAL is honoured and grateful to announce the collaboration of several public figures who, allured by Carlos España’s proposal, have given up their talent and expertise to join us in our tribute to Lorca:

Carlos Alvarez-Novoa Spanish actor, author and theatre director will be the main speaker at our Private View and will read the prologue for the exhibition which he wrote especially for the occasion.

Spanish singer, songwriter and poet Amancio Prada has dedicated to the Exhibition, two of his musical arrangements of two Lorca poems: Gacela of Desperate Love and The Butterfly’s Song.

English landscape painter Keith Grant has especially written an acrostic poem which will be published in our exhibition catalogue.

Australian actor Trader Faulkner and English writer Alan Hescott will also join us with their reflections on ‘Love’ also to be published in the exhibition catalogue.
